Watch List stock Pinterest (PINS) trades nearly 39% under our fair value of $41, making today's stock price of about $25 a very attractive entry price. I'm adding it to the Buy List today.
I like what the company has been achieving under Bill Ready, who took over the CEO seat back in mid-2022. We've seen a resurgence in revenue growth (from +9% in 2023 to +19% in 2024), gross margins (76% to over 80%), and cash flow generation (free cash margin of 26% vs. 16% in 2022). We've also seen monthly active user (MAU) growth rebound, growing 11% last year. All of this has been achieved primarily through better "blocking and tackling" operations - making the platform as actionable as it can be, offering clients reasons to keep coming back, and maintaining Pinterest's uniquely positive and commercial vibe amongst social media platforms.
